Who gets Dashboards

On Enterprise, Dashboards and Motion stay off until an admin turns them on under Organization settings > Artifacts. Docs, Slides, and Design turn on by default on October 15, 2026. An admin can turn them on before that date.

Claude Dashboards features

Claude Dashboards is for questions that would otherwise wait on a ticket or a SQL query. Connect a data platform, ask in plain language, and Claude builds the dashboard from that data. Anthropic says the dashboard stays current as the data changes.

Each chart shows when its data was last refreshed. Click a number to see the query behind it, or ask Claude to explain the query. Anthropic’s example is a quick comparison, such as this week’s signups against last month’s.

Data platforms named in the announcement:

  • Amazon Redshift
  • BigQuery
  • ClickHouse
  • Databricks
  • Snowflake

Dashboards also works with other connectors. The example given is a dashboard of Salesforce opportunities.

Anthropic says Dashboards works alongside existing BI and analytics tools. For a deeper question, you can send the dashboard from Claude to Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog, or Sigma. Looker, monday.com, and Tableau are listed as coming soon.

Prompt example from the announcement: “Build a dashboard of this quarter’s revenue by region.”

Claude Motion features

Claude Motion turns a text prompt into a short animation that you can edit directly or refine by asking Claude to make changes. The finished animation can be downloaded as an MP4.

Anthropic’s examples:

  • Turn a quarterly report into a 30-second explainer for an all-hands
  • Add motion to a chart in a board deck
  • Make a product walkthrough for customer onboarding

Claude writes code that animates your text, charts, shapes, and images. You can change a word, a number, or a timing. Anthropic says Motion does not use a video generation model, so there is no generated footage and no AI-generated people.

To continue in another tool, Anthropic lists Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Higgsfield, invideo, Luma AI, and Runway. Canva and Captions are coming soon.

Motion is in beta on Team and Enterprise. The announcement does not include it on Free, Pro, or Max.

Prompt example from the announcement: “Animate how our pricing plans compare for the sales kickoff.”

Claude Docs, Slides, and Design leave beta

Anthropic says people have made more than 45 million docs, decks, and designs in Claude since Docs, Slides, and Design became available inside conversations. The company is removing the beta label.

What Anthropic lists with that change:

  • Artifacts now support CMEK (customer-managed encryption keys). Admins choose which artifact templates the organization uses.
  • A team and Claude can work on the same doc, deck, design, or dashboard.
  • Slides, designs, dashboards, and animations can be shared outside the organization, or with anyone who has the link, if an admin allows it.
  • PowerPoint and PDF downloads keep the formatting from the editor. Decks can go to Google Slides as editable files.
  • A doc, deck, or design can be edited in the Claude mobile app.

Those lists are not identical. Team editing includes a dashboard. Sharing includes dashboards and animations. Mobile editing names the doc, deck, and design.

Prompt example from the announcement: “Turn these notes into a deck for Monday.”

Claude Design standalone site closes December 14, 2026

Claude Design started at claude.ai/design. Since September 16, it also works inside Claude conversations, where it can use the conversation’s context, files, and connectors. Anthropic is closing the standalone site and keeping Design inside Claude.

Until December 14, 2026, claude.ai/design stays available. On the Artifacts page, Migrate team design systems brings over every design system in the organization. The originals stay unchanged in the standalone version until it closes. Projects keep working there until then.

Chats with Claude and comments on projects stay in the standalone version. They will not be available after it closes, and public links to standalone projects stop working. The Help Center says originals are deleted after December 14 under Anthropic’s data retention practices, and it has the steps for migration, skipped design systems, and one-by-one project export: Migrate from standalone Claude Design to Claude.
